Alex Silwamba

Alex is 7 years old and in Kindergarten at our Taonga School. He is the youngest of 4 children but lives with his older sister and her husband as both of his parents have passed away. His sister has 2 children in the same age range as Alex and he enjoys living with and playing with them.

Mukaka, Alex’s older sister, works as a housekeeper and her husband, Mr. Musonda, works as a bricklayer. Though they both work, their salaries are not enough to meet all the family’s needs. Mukaka and her husband were excited when Alex was enrolled at our school because it will greatly help Alex’s future.

Alex loves soccer, playing with his toy cars, and singing at school and Church. His favorite color is green and his favorite meal is nsima with beef. When he grows up, he would like to be a soldier.
