Edina Banda

Edina is a six year old girl in Kindergarten at Taonga School. Though both her parents are alive and well, she and her younger brother live with their grandparents. Her grandfather works as a caretaker of property, and her grandmother completes odd jobs throughout her neighborhood.

Edina loves music and enjoys singing at church every Sunday. At home, she likes to play house with her friends. She also likes to write and look at pictures in story books. Her favorite subjects at school are mathematics and art and she is most looking forward to learning how to read this school year.

Edina is jovial and confident, and she loves interacting with different people. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher because she admires how they’re able to teach and keep a whole class engaged.
