Joshua Tembo

Joshua is 7 years old and is in Kindergarten at Taonga School. He and his brothers live with their parents and grandfather. His father works as a gardener and his mother sells vegetables in their neighborhood. Joshua attends Bible study every Sunday at church and his favorite story is the birth of Jesus.

Joshua loves playing soccer and tag. His favorite food is nshima and his favorite fruit is an apple. He loves the color red and he hopes to have a pet dog one day. At school, Joshua enjoys learning to read and write his name. He is quiet, but friendly to everyone he meets. When he grows up, he hopes to become a police officer so he can help keep his friends and family safe.
