Mercy Kangwa

Mercy is a 10-year-old girl in the first grade at Taonga School. She lives with her parents and siblings. She is the third-born among her two brothers and one sister. Her mother works as a housekeeper while her father is a gardener. Although she is generally reserved, she has the confidence to engage in conversations. Every Sunday, Mercy attends services at a Pentecostal church with her family. Her favorite Bible story is about the life of Jesus, as she finds it truly inspiring.

Mercy’s favorite color is pink; she loves it for its beauty. Her favorite meal is nshima served with chicken and cabbage, and her favorite fruit is an apple. In school, her favorite subject is English because she enjoys the language and wants to become competent in it.

Mercy aspires to be a nurse once she finishes her education. This career choice reflects her kind-hearted nature and her desire to help others.
