Salifyanji Nalungwe

Sally, whose full name is Salifyanji, was born on November 19, 2010, in Selenje district, Central Province. She’s the third child in a family of four—her older sisters are Idah (22) and Blessing (19), and she has a younger brother, Erick (6). After her parents divorced Sally and her siblings moved in with their grandmother. Her mom works as a nun at a Community Nursery School, and her dad lives in another province with his new family. She and her older sisters are extremely close and they often share house chores together. She loves playing with friends, especially her best friend Natasha. Sally plays striker on the girls’ under-19 soccer team and dreams of becoming a professional player one day (and a lawyer)! Sally’s favorite food is pasta with chicken. She enjoys cooking with her grandmother who teachers her so much in the kitchen!
