Abigail Mwale

Abigail is 7 years old and is the third born in a family of four. She lives with both her parents and siblings in Lusaka. Her father is a bricklayer, and her mother sells vegetables at the local market. Abigail and her family are devoted members of Jehovah’s Witnesses and she loves learning Bible stories. her favorite story is the Good Samaritan because it teaches her to be kind to others. Abigail loves eating Nshima for dinner with her family. Nshima is a dish made from cornmeal and water, resembling mashed potatoes.

In school, Abigail loves learning English and reading stories. She is learning how to write and gets help at home from her father. When Abigail grows up, she wants to be a teacher! She believes that teachers make a positive impact in the world and she wants to inspire young kids like her teachers have inspired her. Aside from reading and writing, Abigail loves to play games like dodgeball and hide ‘n seek. She has lots of friends at school and in her neighborhood.
