The Purpose of Arise Schools

One of the most important things we do in Zambia is to educate the next generation of community leaders. We’ve created our schools with the goal of providing education to impoverished children who otherwise wouldn’t have access to it. Through donations and generous partnerships, we are building two schools that set a new standard in the area we serve.

Our Schools

Arise Christian School

9 YEARS OLD

Arise Christian School is located near the Ngombe compound. Many families in the area don’t have running water or electricity. They can’t afford to feed their children, much less send them to school. We saw a need to provide an educational facility for children in this compound, and we were blessed to be able to purchase the land to open the school in 2015.

Taonga School

In 2015, Arise Africa began its partnership with Taonga School, started by Teacher Abi Brown in 2011. Originally from England, Abi came to Lusaka in 2009 to teach with Old MacDonald’s Farm, an organization that helps boys living on the street. She began tutoring the boys, and more and more children began showing up at their front gate.

MacDonald Brown School

IN FUNDING

We are excited to fundraise and begin construction on MacDonald Brown School! This school will be a secondary school for our current Taonga School students in the Ibex community in Lusaka. MacDonald Brown School will offer education for students in grades 5-12 and allow us to continue to educate, disciple, and equip children who live in extreme poverty.
