The individual is responsible for:

  • – “Big picture” marketing goals, strategic plans execution of those plans for the Arise Africa organization
  • – Strategic growth through effective marketing, communications, fundraising
  • – Streamlined development of operations for a fast-paced and growing organization
  • – Content decision making and execution of monthly email newsletters
  • – Active management of the organization’s website (including content updates, event management and SEO refresh)
  • – Scheduling, coordination and on-site management of fundraising events
  • – Social media content calendar & community management
  • – Execution & measurement of the organization’s annual/seasonal marketing campaigns and strategies (ex: donor match days, Christmas catalog, Christmas bag operations, etc.)
  • – Management of SEM programs, non-profit Google grant campaigns and/or other media outlet relationships
  • – Coordination and direction of local agency for supporting content, strategic and measurement needs


  • – Bachelors Degree
  • – Preferred 2-5 years of experience in marketing and communications role, preferable with a non-profit or cause-driven organization. (feel free to apply if your experience is less)
  • – Excellent customer service skills with a professional friendly demeanor
  • – Strong writing communication skills
  • – Experience with graphic design including Adobe Suite
  • – Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • – Great attention to detail
  • – Must work well independently as well with a team
  • – Ability to travel to Africa and stay for 2-3 weeks at a time
