Q&A with Alliness

What is one thing you want people to know about you?

“I am caring.”

How can I pray for you?

“Pray that I would thrive in life and achieve all my dreams.”

Meet Alliness

Alliness is full of sass and so much whit! She will stump you with her endless list of riddles and word puzzles. She loves to laugh and has grown in her confidence since moving into the Arise Homes in 2012. One of her favorite things to do in her free time is watch movies. She really likes the Black Widow because of her courage.

Alliness has a contagious smile! She loves being around people and says some of her favorite moments in the Homes are family dinners. Not only is she diligent in her school work, but she invests in her friendships too. She is caring and compassionate toward others and wishes she had the power to heal the sick. It’s fitting that she wants to become a midwife nurse one day.

We first came to know Alliness as a student in our sponsorship program. She had been living with her widowed aunt and 5 cousins. She was having a very difficult time. There was not enough food to go around and because Alliness was not a biological child, she was last in line at the table. As these issues continued, we began to work with social welfare in order to obtain custody and by God’s grace she moved into the homes in December 2012. We can’t image life without Alliness!
