Tamando

Tamando is five years old and is in Kindergarten at Taonga School. He joined our Arise Homes in June 2026 after his guardian, his 84 year old grandfather, became unable to properly care for him. After hearing of his living conditions, our Arise Africa team worked together with his grandfather and the Zambian government to take Tamando into our full time care. Tamando went from a home with no running water, electricity, food, or even doors, to a house full of brothers, strong male role models in our house parents, and a lot of love and support.

We are so blessed to have Tamando in our homes and we pray for a smooth transition for him. Tamando is kind to others and has a positive outlook on life. He is artistic and loves playing and building with clay.
