Meet Violet

Violet is silly, kind, and loves to giggle! She enjoys chatting with her sisters and just hanging out. She can be adventurous and enjoys exploring new things. Some of her favorite hobbies are reading books, watching movies, and listening to music. She likes the song King of My Heart. She wishes she were better at singing and reciting poems, but that doesn’t stop her from enjoying them all the same. If she could have one superpower it would be to see the future. Violet enjoys helping around the house and keeping things neat and tidy. She always works hard to be the best she can be.

Violet is a great encourager and knows how to lift your spirits and brighten anyone’s day. She has a way of finding the joy in things. Violet has a selfless heart. Her dream job is to be a doctor so she can help save as many people as possible. If she could have three wishes that instantly came true, they would be help for her family, healing for people, and help for children living on the streets.

Violet was sent from the village to stay with relatives in Lusaka and found herself living with her cousin Margaret. We first met them through our student sponsorship in 2014. In 2018, Violet and Margaret disclosed to our staff the abuse they faced at home. Without hesitation, our team began the fight and would not quit until the girls were in our safety. We are grateful for Violet’s heart and thank the Lord she is safely in our care.
